ABOUT THE MICHIGAN CHAPTER
Partnerships & Positivity
A strategic partnership with the Detroit Housing Commission and the Chandler Park Golf Course we have created a 15-week curriculum for education and career development in the business and sport of golf. This program introduces golf to young golfers by helping them to overcome the barrier for their engagement; lack of awareness, expense of equipment, limited access to golf courses, and transportation.
We are proud to be a Beneficiary of the PGA Tours 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic Birdies for Charity Program ( website) as we continue to engage our multicultural talent base for both the challenges of golf and challenges of life through adaptive learning skills, enabling our participants to learn, play and better understand golf’s tradition.
20 children from grades 3-12 have been interviewed and selected to participate in this years ( year 2) program.
